Patient Rights & Responsibilities

Your rights as a patient

You have the right to be treated with dignity and without discrimination; to know your diagnosis, treatment options, risks and costs in language you understand; to give informed consent before any procedure; to privacy and confidentiality of your medical information; to access your medical records; to refuse treatment after being informed of the consequences; and to seek a second opinion freely — we will facilitate it, not resent it.

Your responsibilities as a patient

Good care is a partnership. Please provide complete and honest information about your health, medicines and allergies; follow the treatment plan you agreed to or tell us why you cannot; attend follow-up appointments; treat staff and fellow patients with respect; and ask questions whenever anything is unclear.

Feedback and complaints

If something concerns you, tell the nursing station or the administration desk first — most issues resolve fastest at that level. If it remains unresolved, ask for the hospital administration. Every complaint is heard, documented and answered.
